Hello, and welcome!

I’m Jessica, the owner of Downeast Ledger & Payroll Services, LLC.

Growing up in a hardworking community taught me the importance of honesty, dedication, and helping others—values that continue to guide both my personal and professional life today. I’ve always enjoyed helping people, and one of my greatest passions is seeing others achieve their goals and build successful businesses. That’s why I started Downeast Ledger & Payroll Services: to give business owners a trusted partner who can help take the stress out of bookkeeping and payroll so they can spend more time focusing on what they do best.

I earned my Associate Degree in Accounting and also hold a degree in Health Information Technology. Together, these educational backgrounds have strengthened my skills in financial management, organization, attention to detail, and maintaining the confidentiality that comes with handling sensitive business information. I also continue to build on my education through ongoing professional training in QuickBooks Online, bookkeeping, payroll, and advisory services. I believe continuing to learn is an important part of providing knowledgeable and dependable support to the businesses I work with. 

With over six years of bookkeeping and managerial accounting experience, I’ve developed the knowledge and practical experience to help businesses maintain accurate financial records, manage payroll, organize day-to-day finances, and better understand the financial information behind their business. Coming from a background rooted in hard work and small-business values, I understand the dedication it takes to build and operate a business. I have a deep appreciation for the entrepreneurs, tradespeople, and business owners who put their time, energy, and passion into creating something of their own.
